This beach is ranked by Lonely Planet as the best beach in Europe in 2024, and I will show you why. Haukland beach is surrounded by dramatic mountains and it offers a breathtaking panoramic view. The beach is known for its white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. It is also an excellent spot for hiking.

Nusfjord is one of the oldest and best- preserved fishing villages in Lofoten. Here you can find the traditional red and yellow wooden fisherman´s cabin, called rorbu. Visitors can explore the historic buildings and enjoy fresh seafood in this small village.

If we go west we can stop at Ramberg, a picturesque village with less then 300 residents. Maybe you have seen photos of the red boathouse on the beautiful beach in Ramberg?

If you ask me, Reine is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in Lofoten. It offers a typical Lofoten scenery with dramatic peaks, crystal-clear waters and charming small wooden houses. It is also the gateway to the famous hike, Reinebringen.

Ballstad is on of Lofoten´s largest and most active fishing villages. This small village is located close to the cruise port in Leknes and is easily accessible. Ballstad offers excellent opportunities for hiking, fishing and kayak.
